100 hundred square meters for this peculiar flat in
the historic centre of Genova. Previously a big flat at the noble floor
of this building of two
hundreds years ago had been divided into three parts to be sold separately. The result was this interior space quite height but with a difficult structure and
movement inside. This was the first house of a just married couple that wanted to solve the problems of this space with something that could give a new character to the interior space. For this reason we built a new structure
inside in order to have an upper storey using the internal height of the flat.The new floor gives a lot of more space to the flat, but also links together the rooms of the house giving them a coherent hierarchy. The main materials are steel, wood and a coloured bright plaster mixed with marble powder.
