A
your couple of lawyers with three sons wanted to have an extremely comfortable
house with a big central space that could represent themselves. This main
space has been the starting point of the project that has been based on
this multifunctional room: living/ sitting/dining. A clear separation
has been put between this “public” space and the night zone.
The whole style of the house has been constructed upon the style of the
entire building: a block of luxury flats built in 1935 with a rich and
powerful neoclassic architecture . So we have sometimes maintained, other
times rebuilt the plaster decoration of the ceiling that used to have
the same geometrical patterns of the marble floors, we have then restored
the ancient wooden doors and windows giving them the original colour such
as the original oak floor of the living room.
