A
1930’s villa in a beautiful park in the eastern part of Genoa. A
family with four daughters and a couple of parents that wanted a space
to show their social status. The interior design works have completely
modified the old structure of the house that had been transformed during
the last years. A strict separation between the night spaces and the living
area of the building was one of the clients desire, so we followed the
traditions putting all the bedrooms upstairs and leaving the “public”
area in the ground floor, directly facing the garden outside. The new
central space has a T shape and has been covered with a barrel vault that
crosses in the hearth of the house. This classical structure is strongly
counterbalanced by modern elements like the red walls and ceilings of
some parts of the house, the use of steel and glass, the contemporary
paintings hanging from the walls.
